Getting Started with Google+

Have you heard the buzz about Google+?  Google+ is latest social media network to gather attention from personal users and businesses.  It’s membership is growing rapidly and has now reached over 90 million users, according to BlueGlass.

So now that you’ve created your agency’s presence on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn; why should you invest time and resources into Google+?

There are several reasons why you should create a Google+ presence for your agency.

  1. Search Results : Google does special favors for businesses on Google+.  If your client (or potential client!) is logged into Google+ and searching on Google, they will see your Google+ page and content above any other search results.
  2. SEO : Google+ pages are indexed faster than typical pages.  This means your new content is getting out “there” quicker than your competitors that may not be on Google+.  The more you can get your name on the web, with the right content of course, the better.
  3. Cutting Edge : By having a presence on Google+, one of the newest social media networks, you are demonstrating to your clients that you are current and relevant.  You care about what is happening in the world and want to be a part of it.
  4. Your Customers are There : If your customers are there, you should be too.  If you aren’t, how can you respond to their questions?  Or demonstrate your expertise?  By being a part of this network, you’re giving yourself an edge that your competition doesn’t, the opportunity to meet new people and gain new clients – 90 million of them.
