Take My Turkey Day Challenge

Bring on the turkey! And the stuffing, and the potatoes, and of course – don’t forget – the wine.  And with all that yumminess, comes my favorite time of year and holiday – Thanksgiving!  This year will be spent busy like every other holiday with kids, family and way too much food.  Not to mention Black Friday where I will be amongst a ton of other crazy people trying to save $7.29 on a ridiculous toy, only for it to be opened and forgotten in the 13 minutes it takes to tear through the pile of gifts that Santa brings on Christmas morning.  But oh how I love this time of year.  My Christmas lights are up, my shopping list is half completed and I get to attend so many parties to spread that good ol’ Holiday cheer!

But I will tell you this…  with Thanksgiving two days away,

I will (hold on to your seat) slow down and reflect on everyone and everything I am thankful for.

And within this list, is YOU my friend, our blog reader.  If we have ever met face to face or have talked, emailed, texted back and forth, you will know that I take my relationships to heart and seriously.  So, let it be known, I am thankful for YOU; for your friendship, your loyalty, your support, your business.

Along with you on my list of thankfulness’s (yes, that’s a word), are my three little darlings Cole, Blaine and Liam.  These boys bring me great joy and never-ending smiles to my face.  I am thankful to be part of a very large family who accepts me the way that I am.  I am thankful for my faith and the path that I’m being led down.  I am thankful to work with a company that is supportive and pushes me to succeed.

Enough about me and my thankfulness’s.  What about you?

I challenge you to use five words this Thanksgiving to five people in your world.  Are you up for it?

Here they are: I am thankful for you.  Write it, say it, pray it, email it (a group text to five people does NOT count!).  But nonetheless communicate it.  And if sitting around a table come Thursday afternoon, maybe offer up your thankfulness list and see if you can’t get the family to join in.  It seems that everyone is so quick to verbalize when they are not happy, or unsatisfied in a relationship, that it will be refreshing for you and yours to hear the positive side of this as well.  Just think of all the warm fuzzies floating around the table when you are done!

Until next time (and probably not as sappy as a blog post), thank you for reading our blog and for being you.  Please have a safe and happy holiday!
